It is a huge challenge to map the umpiring application to different organizing softwares used for national rowing events– making it work with different data structures, different file formats, different operation systems -,this has brought up the idea to develop the organizing committee component as well in the new software. This would support the online entries, the drawing, the generation of start list, also would provide a fully compatible data structure as input for umpiring application.

Main functions:

• Managing organizing committee office – uploading event information to the software through website
• Managing entries – new entry, changes, cancellation, confirmation
• Generating lists – entry list, timetable, start list, result lists, statistics
• Handling entry fee – balance of the entry fees, on-line payment
• Drawing – automatic, manual, picking selected crews to selected lanes
• Managing races – timekeeping, ranking, recording results, statistics, point calculation
